Updated the application to the new Halo branding
Added a new AI vector database option: Built-in OpenSearch
Added a new AI vector database option: Built-in OpenSearch
For hosted customers, the AI configuration now has a built-in OpenSearch connection option. It uploads vectors to Halo's native OpenSearch instance, meaning no connection setup is required.
Unlike Halo Vector Store v1, this option supports indexing of KB articles and services in addition to tickets. If using Halo Vector Store v1 it is recommended to switch to the built-in OpenSearch connection to stay up to date with the latest Halo features relating to embeddings. Note that after changing the vector database, records will need to be re-indexed.
Added the option to enable enhanced to-do lists on tickets
Added the option to enable enhanced to-do lists on tickets
This option can be enabled in ticket settings. When this is enabled, the to-do list will move to a tab on the ticket in both the agent application and the portal. You will be able to edit to-do items and reorder items in both groups and standalone.
There will also be an additional HTML field when you edit/add a to-do list item. This can be used to provide context for the to-do list item and can be expanded/collapsed on the to-do list item. Ticket variables can be used in this field to populate information from the ticket.
There is a visual change now that the to-do lists are in a table. There will be key information regarding the to-do list item (completion date, completed by and added by).

Added workflow capabilities to assets
Added workflow capabilities to assets
The 'Asset Workflows' module has been added to asset management. Asset workflows can be configured with conditional steps, steps to allow certain asset custom buttons, as well as having automations which queue runbooks.
Runbook automations will add a record to the asset's action history such as the below when completed:
Asset types can be configured to start a workflow, and there are new settings to determine if the workflow progress is shown on assets of the given type and to change the workflow against an asset when it is changed to the given type.
The workflow against an asset is a field which can be changed directly from the asset, and the workflow progress will show above the asset's tabs:
Note that custom button visibility restrictions on the workflow are applied in union with the restrictions against the buttons themselves.

You can now trigger external login redirects for SSO integrations
You can now trigger external login redirects for SSO integrations
Within an SSO application's configuration, you can enable Allow the HaloPSA login page to automatically redirect to this SSO provider when the login redirect URI parameter is used.
This will then allow you to provide an sso_redirect query parameter against your agent app or user portal UR, which will automatically redirect you to the configured identity provider.
This can then be used to automate the sign in flow for third party app access portals. For example, this can be used with Microsoft's My Apps portal or the Okta Dashboard.
The Login redirect URI will need to be set as the 'Home Page URL' against the app registration in Microsoft Entra ID or the 'Initiate URL' against the application in Okta.
