You can now create client-to-client relationships and visualise these as a client relationship map

Client to client relationships must be enabled in Configuration > Users > General Settings:


From here you can create custom link types that can be bi-directional and hierarchical, as well as choosing a colour to identify on the client relationship map.


This allows for many to many parent, child and sibling relationships.


A new tab will appear when viewing the client details screen called "Relationships", which can be hidden in screen layout profiles.


This tab defaults to the diagram mode but there are controls to view the relationships as a list and also quickly view the full network of connected clients:


Key controls:

  • Zoom and drag and enter full screen mode using the diagram controls on the left hand side
  • Search the current visible network and centre upon the selected client
  • Increase/decrease the depth of connections to show on the diagram using the step counter
  • You can hide specific relationship types using the pill buttons above the diagram
  • Clicking on a client within the network will slide in a small summary of the client from the perspective of the current client:
  • Right-clicking on a client node will allow you carry a few quick actions, such as add a new relationship:
  • Right-clicking on a line will allow you to edit or remove the relationship between those clients:


Agents only see client relationships with clients they have access to. If a related client is outside an agent's access, the relationship diagram stops at that point, so clients connected only through it are not shown.


The client relationship map is also available as a widget type for client custom tab dashboards:



Currently there is a maximum of 500 related client nodes that can be shown at any one time.

Two new fields are available when Prospects are enabled:


Client Is Account, which can be added to opportunity ticket types and actions.

Contact Is Prospect, which can be added to actions.

Each field shows whether the client is an account, or the contact is a prospect. Unticking either one converts the client to a customer, or the contact from a prospect, as part of the ticket or action. They can't be used to turn a customer back into an account or a contact back into a prospect, so they're read-only once converted.


Both can also be used as Dynamic Field Visibility conditions on ticket type, field group and action fields. This lets you show or hide fields depending on whether you're dealing with an account or a prospect, and the conditions update straight away when the field is changed on the form.


"Is Account" and "Is Prospect" are also available as columns in opportunity column profiles, and you can sort by them.
